How it all started...
The Pentecostals of Stone Mountain (POSM) was founded in 1999 by Reverend and Mrs. Dave Henry. The first service was held in the Hampton Inn Hotel meeting room on May 30, 1999 on Mountain Industrial Road in Stone Mountain, Georgia. POSM moved from the hotel room and relocated to a storefront at 6254 Memorial Drive in December of 2000. The first service in the new location was held on December 4, 2000. POSM occupied the storefront on Memorial Drive for four years. As the congregation grew, POSM became mindful of the need to seek and attain adequate space. POSM relocated to 6212 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, Georgia, our current location in November of 2004. Our first service in this new location was held on November 7, 2004. On May 31, 2004, we celebrated our building dedication and sixth-year anniversary.
This church was built on dedication, commitment, and passion for the Word of God and prayer. Faith in God has been the key element in sustaining the Henrys as they have taken on this Mountain. The greatest desire of this Ministry is that this same dedication, passion, and commitment would permeate every member of The Pentecostals of Stone Mountain.
